Winter Emergency Shelter – Lapland, Northern Sweden – 0°F (-18°C)
In this video, I spend two nights in a winter emergency shelter 200km north of the arctic circle! The location is north of Kiruna, the northernmost town in Sweden, situated in the province of Lapland.
Coming from much further south in Sweden to the snowy peaks in the north and a harsh -18 degrees was a shock to the system this gave me a great opportunity to really test my skills, equipment, and endurance. I will be spending 6 weeks up here in the woods north of Kiruna and north of Jukkasjärvi in the land of reindeer and sleds. On this trip, I started the acclimatization process.
If you have any questions about me, my gear, or anything else, just ask. Take care and stay safe out there.
